Ho, let a bit of time go by there. what with another seizure, a trip to Canberra, some more slashing and bits of tractor that needed fixing, not to mention a busy home life, very little has progressed on the house.
Updates include the fact that I did a proper quantity survey on concrete blocks needed to find we need 1670 x 15.01 blocks, 70 x 15.20 bond beam blocks and 20 x half 15.03 blocks. A lot fewer than first estimates.
Still not much rain, although the natives are going well. The dams are too low for us to think about using the polymer. We need a good 100mm+ rain where there's a decent run-off. At the moment there's enough to keep the grass green and not much else.
Have had a meeting with Craig Cowgill (plumber) who was recommended (along with a couple of others) by Alan Ray (architect). Craig made it clear we need to establish exactly the fittings we are using and there placement before he can put in the pipes. He suggested running the pipes through the ceiling and down a box in the corner by the toilet.
